Yay, little man has turned round for me. I'm pretty sure it happened Thursday night, that's when I dreamt he had but I couldn't be sure.
He's already got a little bit of hair!

Where's your head at?
As Basement Jaxx would say! This little man is being awkward and his currently tushy first..or breech as it's technically known. Finding a brave enough midwfe to deliver him the usual way will be fun so obviously I am doing all in my power to get him moved. From pulsatilla and positioning (arse in the air), shining a light at the bottom of my bump (hoping he's curious enough to go investigate it!) and next week if after my scan Tuesday he is still breech I'm doing some moxibustion. Has a great success rate according to the old randomised controlled studies and all that.
Speaking of which the research stating a caesarean is the safest way to deliver a breech has recently been discredited mainly as it compared a breech delivery not birth (difference being the first involves you on your back, epidural, stirrups, interfering obstetricians, manipulation and not a great outcome. The latter is the hands off until baby pops out method!) with caesarean so wasn't exactly a fair comparison!
He may even of moved already, he changed position Thursday night in my dream and for real, however I cannot tell which way up he is right now.
Jon's been wallpapering today, I did the painting above the dado and he gets to paper. Our new sofa comes next week so for once our living room might actually look a bit grown up and not like a student/newly moved in tip!
Right oh, going off to listen to Chain Reaction now. Last week was Lenny Henry and Bill Bailey. If you listen now you'll find Bill and Simon Pegg. Which reminds me couldn't sleep a wink last night so watched lots of Big Train instead.

Mummy's boy
There's me just a little older than Dillon is now. Do you think he might just be taking after me a tad?
Ooh just found a fun Ukulele link! Reminds me of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain!

What is that job called where you put the music in a TV programme? Music editor perhaps? Anyway I want that job. Sounds like fun! Certainly the music person for Anthea Turner's Perfect Housewife (I know sad watching this but I love the way they show normal messy houses for a change) has taste. Not only have I spotted some decent music like Arcade Fire in the show but last week I heard in the background (accompanying a house husband doing the sewing) the legendary Hoff's classic Hooked on a Feeling ..a classic I think you'll have to agree!
If you love the Hoff then wear him on your chest,
the the place to go has to be the World of Hoff department at Tshirts365..who also happen to be selling a fantastic Tony Rudd shirt!
Next week I get to see The Mighty Boosh! Good week for me comedy wise as new Green Wing starts on the 31st too.
Something super silly that's made me chuckle this week has been the work of a b3tan, a little series called What the Jimney! I've also recently giggled at this little series of mashed comic book covers, again found on the b3ta site of bad thoughts!
Look at that, 33 days left..not that I'm counting!
Still no name for little one though!
I've got to do the boys dinner now so I'll finish off with a lovely Maximo Park video I found today.
Talking of music, Marsha produces a kind weekly e-mail out of her favourite stuff, new bands and the like. Music definately worth listening out for. You can find them here or if you just send her an e-mail she'll add you to her mailing list.
Oh yes there is one more thing, yesterday apparently spring was supposed to arrive next week according to the fabulously named Everton Fox! However his forecast has changed since then and it's still going to be cold for a bit longer. I'm so fed up of this cold easterly stuff going on.

Nesting
Looks like I've got it bad...I actually ironed baby clothes today!
Oh well living up to the housewifeyness I'm off to watch Neighbours now. Well Harold did strangle Paul Robinson. How can I not watch it now!
I rather enjoy this blog's view on the antipodean soap!

Just a quicky as I wanted to post this link to an IT Crowd Soundboard! Although in my opinion it is lacking some classic quotes from the short series, I am particularly tickled by the line I'll just put it here with the rest of the fire and the giddy goat one!
Bump is still nameless with a little over 5 weeks to go...well with baby name sites offering suggestions like this and this one is there any wonder! For more bad baby names check this site out.
Anyway he appears to have dropped now so the heartburn is easing but I waddle even more! This week we had to give into the world people carriers. We've never really liked them but with 3 children there really is no choice (especially as you need room for 3 car seats until the age of 11 now) so we've gone and got a Galaxy. Must say it is so much easier for me to get into with this bump and the boys think it's great fun.

V2006 here we come!
Spotted this cloud on the way to school yesterday and I liked it. Funnily enough the song on the old ipod at the time of taking the pic was Soluble in Air by The Mystery Jets.
Anyway just a few words from me today as I sit on my very comfy birthing ball as I have a pile of washing up to tackle (what an interesting life I lead). Today I succesfully negotiated the task of acquiring V tickets!!! The usual ticket vendors websites were all obviously unavailable even before the 9am sale starting time. All phone numbers temporarily unavailable too. Thankfully though last night I discovered that the local newspaper group were selling them. Had no trouble whatsoever, all paid for by 9.02am! We have tickets for the Saturday. Radiohead, Beck, Editors, Fatboy slim are among the line up that day!
I just hope the children enjoy it too.
I actually discovered the tickets because I was having a rant about this junction I have to cross to get my children to school.
and funnily enough I found this story about the same place. Just how am i supposed to get round that safely with 2 children and my waddle before a bus comes round the corner. Such pain in the arse.
I'll leave you with a funny clip starring some faces british comedy fans may just recognise!

Boosh and bump
I've been somewhat neglectful of my blogging duties of late..because I just can't be arsed!
I mean look at me, I'm a big old stripey waddling bump! I'm over the winter bug thankfully but my energy levels are all over the shop. Mainly cos I'm sleeping badly (dreams, bladder and heartburn), school run is peppered by braxton hicks and then when I do appear to have somekind of chocolate biscuit induced nesting rush I go and overdo it..painting the living room and the like!
Still haven't finished that. Just got a bit of wallpapering to do. Please tell me it's not a sign of old age when the only paper I like we found in Laura Ashley?
My postman has been bringing me lots of nice treats recently. Saturday I had my bundle of singles delivered. Turquoise and white vinyl and a CD of the newest release from Maximo Park (talking of which they are doing the Royal Albert Hall the same night as the Boosh tour).
Then today I had 2 parcels of nappies delivered courtesy of Twinkle and the rather generous package from Essex County Council.
I got tickets for The Mighty Boosh! Front row seats at The Cliffs Pavillion. I'll be 37 weeks by then and really hoping I laugh myself into labour. I would love to not go overdue this time..mainly because I want a lovely homebirth.
Oh and we still can't think of any names for this little man!

A whinge..why can't people keep their children off school for the recommended time?
Norovirus and an almost 3/4 of the way there bump is not a nice combination! Nicely finished off with a proper cold. Lovely!

Completely forgotton what I wanted to blog...all I know is that I was planning one in my head and it has disappeared! So if I remember I'll pepper my post with links before I forget them again.
I am completely knackered though (ooh some Arctic mash ups for you ), little man had some kind of rearrangement in there last night and has now left me with little feet in my ribs, terrible heart burn and general uncomfortableness. However that SPD malarky is getting much better after a physio realigned my wonky hips!
We've done a bit of baby shopping, got my slings now, ordered some nappies (rather cutely named diddy diapers and bimbles), got a few clothes but don't need many really and basically just need to think of some names for this new person!
Has to be (apart from labour I suppose!) the hardest part. I just get all distracted by funny names..we got hold of the top 2000 boys names of last year and were rather surprised to find the name Baby appearing. Perhaps they were as stuck as we are!
What else have I been up to other than massive consumption of tea (decaf mostly) and vast amounts of biscuits, watching Lay and getting more round? Getting DJ's to play Machadaynu in pubs...listening to music, isn't myspace fab for finding new stuff? I quite like this new Orson band, they remind me of Hot Hot Heat crossed with Boston. The new Rakes tune is great too, Jarvis Cocker meets the Bravery methinks! I've heard the B side of Maximo Park's I want you stay will include La Quinta and a rather ELO style remix. Can't wait to hear what that would be like.
Oh yes talking of music..my poor PC is more stuffed than me. No more room for even one more song on my music hard drive! Oops!
Just a thought - never in my life have I heard the term "stitch 'n' bitch" until this week..then I hear it 3 times from different places. It's bit odd that!

Oh no I'm old now, way too near to 30 for my liking! So why do I still not feel like a grown up? Now 27, almost 3 children, married and mortgage yet I have the mind of a 19 year old student (sadly not the body though). Which I will now prove by now going off to watch Look Around You series 2, scoff a takeaway, and eat some Gu puddings. What shall I have; indian, chinese or pizza?
So I'm off now. Oh just leaving a note to remind myself Maximo park and the Go! Team are on TOTP next week so for once it might be worth watching. Mind you the Kooks were on this week.

I've recently been compiling my vast collection of covers into one folder..trying to tidy up my mp3's a little. Almost filled up the hard drive assigned to just music so we are looking at storage issues for the future. Looking at one of those Buffalo Tera Stations, That may just satisfy us for a few years to come. Anyway back to covers,
I was making a compilation of my favourites for a friend so thought I'd add a few to my radio player (you'll find that on myspace, linky to the right) and gained a few additions from this Take Your Medicine Blog. The podcasts from Coverville are full of gems.
Can't believe only 14 weeks left!
Well I'm expecting more like 17-18 though, i tend to incubate my boys a little longer and I reckon I'll refuse induction so I'll still be here blogging at 43 weeks moaning about how fat I am.

The genius that is Look Around You series 2 is unleashed upon on us on Monday (my birthday) on the old Dependable Versatile Discus and they've kindly provided us with this snippet from the extras! Dirty bird!
You'll find a link in my side wotist there to more work from Robert Popper and the guise of Robin Cooper.

What a difference a morning makes
Yesterday the eagerly awaited snow arrived! This was my view when I woke up. Thankfully the boys and I managed to play out before it turned to sleet and rain. I have some lovely footage but I've yet to master how to connect the dv part of my camcorder to my lappy, I'm sure it can be done though.
Then this morning I had this lovely view from my bedroom. I'm now fed up of cold I want spring now! Plus that means I'll have my baby boy by then.
Lovely spring days with my baby in a sling is what I'm looking forward too. Just don't get me started on slings. There are so many beautiful slings out there I just can't decide. *haha sorry just being distracted from blogging by listening to the Ricky Gervais podcast*
For a start I want one of these but can't decide on the colour. I must have a coorie from Brightsparks too, oh and one of these and..well the list goes on! I already have an ergo and Rockinbabysling but they are just so addictive. As are the nappies..thankfully I have all of Dillon's still plus the local council give you money off too.

Christmas bump
Ooh hello!
Thought I'd carry on my My Space Blog over here! I think I like the layout over here so I'm going to give it ago.
Not done a blog in a little while, which means I have ideas accumulate and then I forget them all, but seeing as am sitting here radar watching (I'm a fully paid up snow ramper) I thought I might as well do it now.
There's my bump christmas day
and I'm feeling proper awkward now! The old aches and pains have me waddling around like Will Quack Quack (anyone else remember him?).
Doesn't stop me accumulating music though. I find a wide variety of christmas gems but just couldn't be arsed to blog them before christmas. Just too much to do. Thanks to Marsha for drawing my attention to a rather alternative chilled compilation for the season called We Love Yule, there is also the emo offering A Taste of Christmas and my husband's treasured Metal Christmas. I think my favourite has to be (knowing my penchant for mash) Santastic.
Christmas was hectic as usual, what with Jon just having to go back to work Boxing day there's alot to do on Christmas day. Boys got a great castle from FC. Just hope they look after it!
I'll leave you with a great top music video's of the year list and thanks to Iain for supplying me with that one. Off to put those little scamps to bed now..lets press publish and see how it looks!
